June 1988: Snow,
mud & go ahead

Meters of snow in Gastachtal, but nothing can stop it! Snow blowers clear the way, trucks fight their way through the mud and Nederhütte slowly takes shape, with a roof truss reaching towards the sky.

Not taken serious back then, loved by guests today

Service staff in ski huts was a rarity in Ötztal back then. Many people wrinkle their nose, but Rudi and Sissy remain stubborn. A highly innovative ordering system from Norway guarantees quick service, and the guests' laughter proves them right.

Our kitchen chef:
a master since day one

Charly, then 21 years young and proudly Styrian, wields the scepter in the kitchen. He has been conjuring up tasty Nederhütte delicacies for already 35 years.

Satisfied guests:
our greatest gift

Despite stumbling blocks and storms, joy remains in the foreground. A heartfelt thank you to all our guests for their loyalty, enjoyment and friendliness.

Nederlumpen: music
that touches the heart

Rudi and Toni start unplugged, and the sound of the Nederlumpen soon fills the entire hut.
Après-ski and hut evenings become legendary – coupled with raclette, fondue and unforgettable live music.

Nederhütte
in full bloom

Over the years the hut grows. Terrace, parlor, umbrella bar, rustic feeling and high-tech sound system are added. The music remains together with Rudi who is passionately committed to good sound and happy guests.

2007: the next
generation

Benni follows in his parents' footsteps. He started as a waiter, becames a service team supervisor and now manages the hut with the support of his lovely wife Steffi.

Perfection behind
the scenes

From the ski slope groomed in the morning to the delivery of fresh goods – the snow groomer masters the logistics. A smooth working process ensures that guests are always satisfied and the good mood never goes away.
